On June 9, Christopher PISSARIDES, a Nobel laureate in economics and a professor at the London School of Economics and Political Science, said at the fourth plenary session of the 14th Lujiazui Forum that financial instability in one country will spread to other countries, and international cooperation can avoid global financial instability. The financial system has been overly impacted, and the central bank and the government should conduct better supervision to quickly kill bad events in the cradle, so as not to spread to other countries. The most effective way to manage monetary policy is to let a relatively independent central bank manage it. The policies of the central bank and the central government must be consistent. The two parties should cooperate with each other, and fiscal and monetary policies should go hand in hand.
