Fed's Goolsbee: The final Fed interest rate may stabilize around 3%, and there are currently no considerations for a 50 basis point rate cut.

On September 23, Fed's Goolsbee stated that he believes the Fed's policy has a mildly restrictive nature. The neutral interest rate is 100-125 basis points lower than the current rate. However, at present, he personally is not considering a 50 basis point rate cut. He believes that caution is needed when taking aggressive measures. If we are moving in the direction of restoring the inflation rate to the target level, interest rates may be reduced. Ultimately, the Fed's rate may stabilize around 3%, and the inflation rate may fall back to 2%. (Jin10)
