PANews, on October 28, reported that in response to the abnormal price fluctuations in the HYPE market early this morning, Lighter stated on platform X: “An out-of-control bot flooded the HYPE order book with large orders, but it did not trigger any liquidations or other negative impacts. This transaction occurred at extremely low trading volumes at extremely high price levels, and the long wick candle left behind caused issues with chart scaling, so this data has been removed from the front-end interface. On-chain data cannot (and will not) be modified, and interested users can view it on the blockchain explorer. However, as the main front-end operator of Lighter, we will present the charts in a way that is most beneficial to traders. Other front-end interfaces based on Lighter can decide on different display methods independently.”
