"Currently, we do not accept the opening of accounts with existing proof. Mainland customers are limited to those who actually work/live abroad and must provide: a valid mainland identification (passport only is not supported) and proof of work or residence in Hong Kong/Macau issued within the last three months," Futu Securities customer service told the reporter.
