According to the Gate News bot and AP News, activity at Chinese ports has picked up since U.S. President Donald Trump and China agreed to resume trade talks and postpone imposing hefty tariffs on each other's exported goods. The same is true for inland ports along the Yangtze River in China.
The Chongqing International Logistics Hub Park is over 1000 kilometers (620 miles) away from the nearest seaport and is an important part of the land-sea trade corridor, connecting countries in Europe, Africa, and Asia. About 20 trains depart every day, some heading to Russia and others traveling to Europe via Central Asia. Major export products include electronics, machinery, and electric vehicles, including cars assembled at the Awat Technology factory located in Chongqing. Chongqing has long been an important inland port and industrial center in China. Imported products include auto parts, luxury goods, and medical equipment.
