The number of smart contracts on the XRP Ledger EVM sidechains exceeded 1,400 in the first week.
Gate News bot reports that the EVM-compatible sidechains of the XRP Ledger are attracting the attention of developers, with more than 1,400 smart contracts deployed in the first week after launch. Peersyst stated that during this period, nearly 1,400 contracts were active, but user adoption remains low, as over 80% of the 1,211 new accounts created in the first two days were made. The number of active accounts has remained below 150, indicating limited daily usage.
However, technically speaking, the EVM sidechains have been very stable, having processed over 1.12 million blocks, with an average block time of 5.66 seconds, and there are currently no pending transactions. The network has processed over 1,644 XRP transactions, with an average transaction fee of only 0.048 XRP, demonstrating its appeal as a low-cost, developer-friendly blockchain.
