The area of the mountain fire in Oofunato City, Japan has reached 2100 hectares.

On March 3, Jinshi Data reported that on March 3 local time, Iwate Prefecture, Japan, announced that the continuous mountain fires in Ofunato City in the county have expanded to about 2100 hectares. A large-scale mountain fire occurred in Ofunato City on the 26th of last month, resulting in 1 death so far, with many buildings and large areas of forest land being destroyed.
