On September 19, former Galaxy Digital Research VP Christine Kim posted on X platform, pointing out that today's Ethereum developer conference call ACDC #165 made significant decisions. Developers confirmed the timeline for the public testnet and the BPO hard fork schedule for Fusaka. The Fusaka mainnet upgrade is scheduled for December 3 of this year at Epoch 411392. It is reported that the Fusaka upgrade is the next major hard fork following the Pectra upgrade in May 2025, focusing on the network's scalability, efficiency, and resilience, and is a core part of Ethereum's "Surge" phase, aiming to drop Layer 2 (L2) rollup costs by optimizing data availability and validator duties, while enhancing overall throughput. According to some preliminary analyses of Fusaka Devnet-5, blob capacity should increase by more than double within two weeks after the Fusaka launch.
