Green cryptos: My personal vision of a sustainable future

What a barbarity about traditional cryptocurrencies! While some continue to defend Bitcoin and its excessive energy consumption, I have switched to the green side. And no, I'm not talking about investing in marijuana, but in cryptos that do not destroy our planet.

I have been observing the market lately and I find it shameful how we continue to feed networks that consume the electricity of entire countries. Seriously? Do we really need to burn so much coal to transfer money? I don’t think so.

Green cryptos are my current obsession. They use systems like Proof-of-Stake where, instead of having mining farms devouring electricity, you simply lock up your coins as collateral. And it works! Cardano, Solana, Tezos... all of them operate without the need to devastate entire forests.

A few days ago I tried to explain it to my uncle, a staunch defender of Bitcoin. "It's just that the other one isn't safe," he told me. Nonsense! PoS networks offer comparable security and in some cases, greater resistance to certain attacks. But of course, some prefer to cling to the familiar even if it leads us to climate disaster.

I have invested in several of these alternatives and I sleep better at night. My green portfolio includes:

• ADA from Cardano, which has fallen by 4.84% (Thank you, volatile market!)
• SOL from Solana with a drop of 6.46% (breathe deeply...)
• XTZ from Tezos with -5.59% (come on, it's not my best day either)

But I don't care about daily volatility because I'm betting on future technology. Some traditional trading platforms continue to ignore these green alternatives, but more and more users are realizing that we can have blockchain without destroying the only planet we have.

Green DeFi is the next logical step. Imagine completely decentralized lending, insurance, and trading without the environmental cost. It's possible and it's already happening.

I also support projects like Chia that use storage instead of intensive processing. And NANO? Instant transactions with practically no carbon footprint. Incredible.

If you want to participate in this green revolution, do your research, start little by little, and don't be deceived by the dinosaurs of the sector who continue to defend obsolete and unsustainable systems.

The future is green, and I have already chosen my side. What about you?
