Vitalik's Billions: My Take on the ETH Founder's Wealth

So apparently the crypto messiah Vitalik Buterin is now worth about $1.04 billion in 2025. That's right - BILLION with a B. Must be nice sitting on that pile of digital gold while the rest of us peasants scramble for crumbs.

Looking at his wallet, I can trace most of his wealth directly back to when Ethereum launched in 2015. The guy literally created money out of thin air and became filthy rich. His 240,042 ETH tokens make up the bulk of his wealth, and every time ETH pumps, so does his bank account. Talk about being born at the right time with the right idea.

I've tracked his portfolio myself, and it's sickening how much his wealth fluctuates. When ETH hit $4,891 in November 2021, this 27-year-old kid was suddenly worth over $2 billion. TWO BILLION! What the hell does someone that young do with that kind of money? Meanwhile, I've been grinding for years just trying to accumulate a decent stack.

Sure, he claims he "doesn't sell ETH for personal gain" since 2018, but come on - we've all seen the transactions. 200 ETH sent to exchanges here, connections to the Ethereum Foundation selling 15,000 ETH there. He can call them "donations" all he wants, but money is money.

What pisses me off most is how he got 50% of Shiba Inu's entire supply dumped on him as a marketing stunt. The man briefly held $10 billion in dog coins! He destroyed most of it and donated the rest, but who gets to feel that kind of power? Only in crypto can someone have billions in meme coins handed to them.

His investment in StarkWare alone is probably worth hundreds of millions now. The company was valued at $8 billion in 2022, and he got in at the seed round. Talk about insider connections.

While other Ethereum co-founders like Joseph Lubin ($5 billion) have even more money, Vitalik's the only one still working on the network. The rest cashed out and moved on to other projects. At least he's loyal to his creation, I'll give him that.

The market's been kind to him lately. ETH pumping past $3,400 has pushed his holdings back near the billion mark. Meanwhile, I'm still trying to recover from the last crash. Some of us just weren't lucky enough to invent a blockchain.

Don't get me wrong - the guy's smart. But when your IQ is supposedly 257 (which is total BS, by the way), and you get $100,000 from Peter Thiel to drop out of college, life tends to work out pretty well for you.

Welcome to crypto, where the founders get rich and the rest of us hope for scraps from their table.
