What a mess I had to go through to find my wallet address! After losing several transfers for not knowing the basics, I'm sharing what I learned the hard way.
🔎 The first step: log into your account
First, you need to log in to the platform where you have your cryptos. It seems obvious, right? But how many times have I been stuck with the damn two-step verification that never works when you need it the most.
💼 Looking for the blessed wallet
On most platforms, you will find options like "Monedero" or "Wallet" in the menu. Depending on what you want to use your coins for, you will have to choose between Spot or Funding. I have lost money by choosing the wrong one... nobody warned me!
🪙 Select your favorite crypto
Here comes the important part: each cryptocurrency has its own address. You cannot send BTC to a USDT address and vice versa. It cost me an expensive mistake to understand this.
📥 The magic button: Deposit
Click on "Deposit" and your address will appear. Simple, right? Well, I had to search for it for half an hour the first time because the interface is not as intuitive as they claim.
🌐 The trap of the networks
This is the worst! You have to choose the right network or you can say goodbye to your money. TRC20, ERC20, BEP20... they seem like secret codes designed to confuse. Why does no one explain this well when you start?
📌 What really matters:
ALWAYS check the network you are using. I lost money for not doing so and no customer service refunded me.
Copy the address using the copy button. One wrong character and your money disappears like magic.
Do not share your address in public forums. Some "friends" tried to empty my wallet when I did.
Platforms make us believe that everything is super easy, but the reality is that they are full of traps for beginners. At least now you know how to find your address without losing money like I did.
