MetaMask is available for download on browsers like Chrome and Firefox, as well as on mobile devices iOS and Android. For this tutorial, we will use the Firefox version, although the instructions are similar across all platforms.
The first step is to access the MetaMask download page. Once there, select the platform you are using and follow the steps to install it on your device. It's a straightforward process!
Next, proceed with the app-guided setup. Choose "Create a wallet". Make sure to write down the backup seed phrase in a safe place ( preferably not on a device connected to the internet ). Without this phrase, you will not be able to recover your funds if your device is damaged or lost. Confirm that you have saved the phrase on the next screen.
Ready! You can now view your wallet, set up to send and receive funds.

Wallet Settings
You will notice that the wallet is initially set up for the Ethereum network. This is not compatible with Gate Chain DApps. You could lose your funds if you send them to an invalid address.
It is necessary to modify this setting. Go to Settings to connect the wallet to the Gate Chain nodes.
Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
On the Settings page, scroll the cursor to the Networks section.
Network Menu.
Click on "Add Network" in the upper right corner to manually include Gate Chain. This network is not pre-configured in MetaMask. It is important to mention that there are two available networks: the testnet and the mainnet. Below are the parameters you need to enter.
Mainnet (This is probably the network you are looking for)
