Honestly, this bull market feels quite different from the previous ones.....
First, the profit-making effect has weakened. In 2017, any ICO could easily yield ten times the return; in 2021, buying any DeFi or NFT could also yield several times the return. What about now? BTC has risen to 120,000, but many altcoins are still lying at the bottom. The wealth effect is mainly concentrated on top assets, and retail investors have fewer and fewer opportunities to seize.
Second, the narrative cycle has shortened. In the past, a narrative could last for several months, but now it may only last a few weeks. AI coins become popular for a while, RWA coins become popular for a while, Meme coins become popular for a while, switching back and forth. You can't keep up, or even if you do, you might end up buying at a high point.
Thirdly, the voice of institutions has grown stronger. Previously, it was the community calling the shots, but now it is institutions buying in that drives retail investors to follow. In this market, the initiative of retail investors is decreasing.
Fourth, the sword of regulation always hangs overhead. The SEC's attitude towards cryptocurrency has always been ambiguous; it may suddenly sue a project or suddenly approve an ETF. This uncertainty keeps the market in a state of tension.
What other ways are there? Let's wait for the wind to rise.
