From the perspective of technological evolution, the adjustments in Bitcoin v30 resemble a rehearsal for a "self-revolution." Over the past five years, the Bitcoin core team has oscillated between "conservatism" and "innovation": the Taproot upgrade introduced smart contract logic, and Schnorr signatures optimized transaction efficiency, but these incremental changes have been unable to break through the shackles of Layer 2. The emergence of TBC reflects the true needs of the Bitcoin ecosystem—a desire from developers for a development experience comparable to Ethereum within a secure framework, and a need from users for trustless on-chain services. This expansion of OP_RETURN should be viewed not so much as Bitcoin's compromise with TBC, but rather as a signal of its proactive embrace of change. In the future, as Bitcoin's Layer 1 functionality gradually strengthens (such as the expansion of Schnorr signatures), its technical path will increasingly converge with that of TBC: the former continues Satoshi's vision with "phased expansion," while the latter validates technological possibilities through "one-step reconstruction."
