Mbappé's Twitter account was hacked, and fake cryptocurrency scams overnight, raking in millions of dollars.

French football star Kylian Mbappé’s Twitter account was hacked yesterday, and the hacker directly promoted a coin scam. A memecoin called MBAPPE surged wildly after the hacker’s tweet, with its market cap skyrocketing to tens of millions within minutes, only to immediately crash back to zero.

This move was quite something—some people made a fortune, while others got wiped out.

Worst Loss: A trader invested 7,156 SOL (about $1.03 million), but within an hour, the coin’s price plummeted to nearly zero, leaving only $9,200—basically losing all their capital.

Biggest Gain: Another trader spent just 0.2 SOL ($29) and cashed out 866 SOL (around $125,000) in just 3 minutes, earning a 4,300x return. Someone else bought in for $286 and sold for $200,000—a 700x gain.

According to Lookonchain, this trader, who frequently profits from memecoins, has traded 251 different tokens over the past month, with a success rate of 35.46%, totaling over $1.26 million in gains.

The tokens were launched on Pump.fun (a memecoin launchpad on the Solana ecosystem), basically like buying lottery tickets in a casino. The hacker also mocked Messi as a “dwarf” in the tweet, praised Ronaldo, and hinted at a transfer to Manchester United—typical tactics of exploiting celebrity influence for quick gains.

Reminder: Most coins promoted by celebrities are usually scams, especially when coming from hacker accounts. FOMO-driven entries often end up making investors the bagholders.
