Ethereum co-founder Vitalik recently expressed his views, pointing directly at the phenomenon of blockchain infrastructure becoming increasingly centralized over the past decade in pursuit of usability. He believes this trend must change by 2026.

Specifically, Ethereum's technical focus can be divided into three areas:

First is the validation layer. Through technological solutions like ZK-EVM and Helios, ordinary users can run nodes for validation again, bringing RPC back to its original purpose of being "verifiable and tamper-proof."

Second is balancing wallet security and user experience. Combining mechanisms such as social recovery, time locks, and privacy protections aims to find that sweet spot between security, ease of use, and decentralization.

Finally, is the transaction bundling process. The implementation of solutions like ERC-4337, native account abstraction, and FOCIL allows private transactions to resist censorship, ensuring power is no longer concentrated in the hands of a few validators.

From a market perspective, 2026 will be a window of explosive growth for the Ethereum ecosystem. Especially the MEME sector on the ETH chain, with its creative attributes and community-driven nature, may usher in a new wave of opportunities. History often repeats similar stories—just like DOGE and SHIB in the past.
ETH-0.12%
DOGE-1.27%
SHIB0.28%
MEME0.72%

Alright, Vitalik is back to preaching, changing direction in 2026... It's good to hear, but I don't know how much of it will actually materialize. Bro, I just want to ask, can ZK-EVM really allow ordinary people to run nodes? Or is it just another beautiful vision? I'm optimistic about the MEME sector, but compared to technical architecture adjustments, I'm more concerned about when I can actually profit from it. No, these plans have been hyped up for a long time, why are we still waiting until 2026... By the way, if ETH really takes off this time, on-chain MEME should have already skyrocketed, but what happened?

Here we go again, trying to convince us about decentralization, with all the hype. Can it really change by 2026? Wait, is there another chance for the MEME sector? Then I better watch my Dogecoin closely. Vitalik is starting to make big promises again. I've heard this kind of rhetoric many times before. Can things like FOCIL, ERC-4337 really be implemented? It feels like just hype. It's always 2026, why does it take two more years to take action? The ideal of decentralization sounds great, but reality is quite harsh. Frankly, it still depends on the big players. That wave of MEME coins did make money, but will it happen again this time? ZK-EVM looks impressive, but is it actually useful? Centralization has gone too deep. Can two years really turn the tide? I doubt it. Returning node validation rights to users? Just listen, I wouldn't really believe it.

After years of advocating for decentralization, turning around and doing centralized things, it's definitely time for reflection. V God is right, but who can really survive still depends on who can make money. Will MEME take off in 2026? I doubt it; it still depends on mainstream coins. By the way, do ordinary users really care about running node validation? ZK-EVM sounds impressive, but how long will it take before it can actually be used? It feels like they're just whitewashing themselves again; infrastructure centralization has become a fact. Anyway, I still believe in ETH's MEME potential; history always rhymes. Centralization depends on people's hearts; technological solutions can't change the essence of greed. Wallet experience is really good, but balancing security and decentralization remains a problem. These people always speak so confidently, as if 2026 will change the world.

Wait, is Vitalik starting to hype again? Changing direction in 2026, so what should we do in these next few years? --- To put it nicely, can ZK-EVM, FOCIL, and that bunch of stuff really return power to the users... I'm a bit skeptical. --- MEME coin comeback? Bro, someone says that every round, and in the end, isn't it just getting rug-pulled? --- Decentralization vs. usability, this is really a trade-off, don’t overthink it. --- Social recovery wallets sound pretty good, as long as they can actually be used, don’t give me that technical speech again. --- The explosion window in 2026, I've heard too many promises... still, focusing on current opportunities is the way to go. --- RPC returning to verifiability? That sounds like sarcasm about the current infrastructure haha. --- DOGE and SHIB were indeed crazy back then, but the MEME coin landscape has changed now, don’t just look at history. --- Packaging to resist censorship, if that really works, it’s indeed impressive. But is it realistic?
