The privacy track has new developments. This project, launched in 2018, has not followed the hype cycle in recent years; instead, it has focused all its efforts on in-depth compliance privacy R&D, resulting in solid technical accumulation.
At the beginning of the year, a major signal was sent—DuskEVM mainnet successfully launched in the second week of January. This move is significant, as developers can directly build smart contracts using familiar tools, while relying on the underlying network to handle settlement. The efficiency of subsequent compliant DeFi applications and on-chain physical asset tokenization will be greatly improved.
What’s more exciting is the ecosystem application layer. The first RWA application, DuskTrade, is expected to go live in 2026. It is a collaboration with the Dutch licensed exchange group NPEX, which holds multiple financial licenses including MTF, broker, and ECSP, demonstrating strong compliance credentials. It is expected to bring over €300 million worth of tokenized securities onto the chain, with a reservation channel opened in January.
Simultaneously, the Hedger test version is also progressing. It uses zero-knowledge proofs and homomorphic encryption to achieve a balance—protecting transaction privacy while meeting regulatory audit requirements. This is precisely the core pain point for traditional financial institutions entering Web3.
From technical validation to application deployment and scene expansion, each step is solid. By 2026, three parallel tracks will be running, making this participant in the privacy track definitely worth watching.
