US Construction Spending Rebounds in December

Construction spending in the US rose by 0.3% month-over-month in December 2025, following a 0.2% decrease in November, in line with market forecasts, delayed data showed. Private sector spending increased 0.5% during the period, led by a 1.5% gain in the residential segment, primarily from new single-family projects (+1.6%) and, to a lesser extent, multi-family projects (+0.1%). Year-on-year, construction spending shrank by 0.4%.
