Abstract generation in progress

Nansen announces the latest API update and implements support for x402 payments. A cryptographic key is typically a secret key required to authenticate API communications, but with this new feature, access to the API can be made without preparing a cryptographic key.

How x402 Payments Work and the Benefits of No API Key Required

According to Foresight News, this update allows all users, including AI agents, to make request-based payments without needing the traditional API key method. In other words, there is no need to understand what a cryptographic key is, and services can be used directly without prior authentication, which is a major advantage.

Supporting the Era of AI Agents

As the use of AI agents increases, implementing such flexible payment methods significantly lowers the barrier for developers to adopt the service. The ability to make direct payments without a cryptographic key enhances user convenience and is expected to encourage more users and bots to utilize the Nansen API.
