#DeepCreationCamp ZKsync(, known for scalability solutions in the cryptocurrency world, has decided to move away from its old network architecture and focus entirely on new-generation technologies. According to an official announcement, ZKsync Lite, which launched in 2020 and is the first step of the project, will cease block production on May 4th. From this date onward, the network's current state will be permanently frozen, and the system will no longer accept new transactions.
Developed by Matter Labs, this network was historically the first ZK-rollup solution on Ethereum. However, as the project shifts its focus to the more advanced ZKsync Era and ZK Stack ecosystem, it was stated that the Lite version has fulfilled its mission. Even after the network is shut down, a read-only API service will continue to be available for at least one more year to allow data access.
