Bloomberg Analyst: The US CFTC may work jointly with the SEC, but the two will not merge
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas posted on X that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) are discussing relocating to the same office in Washington, D.C., but they will not merge. It is understood that this relocation plan has been under discussion since last year, and it may not be implemented until 2027 at the earliest. The General Services Administration, which oversees federal real estate, is also involved in this matter.
