China-Europe route fares surge, Shanghai to Paris prices skyrocket 5 times

Journalists found that OTA ticket prices for the China-Europe route have surged. Taking Shanghai-Paris as an example, the economy class tickets for the direct flight on March 4th are sold out, and the economy class tickets for the direct flight on March 5th have risen to 30,248 yuan, compared to around 5,000 yuan normally. This week, the cheapest economy class tickets for the Shanghai-Paris direct route are all above 16,000 yuan. With two Middle Eastern international airlines suspending all routes and domestic airlines canceling Middle Eastern flights, many travelers who previously transferred through Emirates and Qatar Airways to fly to Europe are now choosing direct flights, leading to a significant increase in demand for China-Europe routes.
