Family dinner with Wanda Nara: the episode that rekindles the distance between the Icardi siblings

Last week, a new chapter unfolded in the controversial conflict involving the Icardi family. Guido, the footballer’s brother, appeared on the TV show Intrusos, where he revealed details about the family tensions. That same night, he went to Wanda Nara’s residence in the Chateau Libertador building to share dinner with the host, her two daughters — Francesca and Isabella — and other close circle members. Footage captured during the gathering showed everyone smiling around mate in the apartment’s living room.

The meeting that sparked interpretations

The gathering included personalities linked to the media case. In addition to Wanda Nara and her daughters, Maxi López — with whom Mauro Icardi has a tense relationship — attended, as well as Martín Migueles, the current partner of the host, and Nora Colosimo, Wanda’s mother. The evening was relaxed, with pizzas and empanadas as the main menu. On his Instagram, Guido Icardi shared photos of the event with the caption “Getting to know my family,” which sparked multiple interpretations among followers and specialized media.

Previous TV statements

Hours before attending dinner with Wanda Nara, Guido appeared on television to openly discuss his relationship with Mauro. During the interview, he stated he knows very little about his brother, acknowledging a significant distance between them. Despite being siblings, he said their contact has been sporadic and limited to occasional meetings during celebrations or specific sporting events.

The origin of the rift: 2011 as the breaking point

The family estrangement has deep roots dating back to 2011, the year their parents separated. It was then that Mauro began his professional career abroad, while Guido decided to stay in Rosario with their father. Over the following years, the brothers barely kept in touch, seeing each other only on special occasions like Christmas or birthdays. “We have shared little,” Guido explained, noting that he even traveled to Switzerland when Mauro played in the Champions League, but the meeting was very brief.

Personality and success: Guido’s perspective

Regarding the personality changes Mauro Icardi has undergone over the years, Guido emphasized that his brother has a very strong personality and a firm character. According to his analysis, when something gets fixed in his mind, he insists on doing things his way. However, Guido was clear in denying that Wanda Nara was responsible for these behavioral changes. “I don’t think Wanda has changed him. I believe that when someone reaches fame and success, they show their true nature,” he reflected on the speculations circulating for years.

Stance on violence accusations

When asked about the violence allegations made by the host against the Galatasaray footballer, Guido softened his position. He acknowledged that Mauro can be obsessive about his matters but expressed skepticism that he would engage in violent behavior: “I don’t think he would raise his hand against Wanda or have those attitudes.”

An unresponded gesture

Guido also revealed that he formally invited Mauro to his upcoming wedding, which will be held in Rosario later this year. So far, he has not received any confirmation. Although he has gotten used to the distance, he hopes Mauro Icardi will return to play for Newell’s, which would help reconnect the family ties. Meanwhile, the footballer is in Turkey with María Eugenia “China” Suárez and has not made any public statements regarding his brother’s dinner with Wanda Nara and her circle.
