The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) officially initiates Section 337 investigation into beverage brewing products and their components
On February 24, 2026, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to initiate a Section 337 investigation (Investigation No.: 337-TA-1485) into certain beverage brewing products and components thereof. On January 23, 2026, Adrian Rivera Maynez Enterprises, Inc. of La Mirada, California, filed a Section 337 complaint with the U.S. ITC, alleging that the export, import, and sale of the product in the United States infringed U.S. registered patents 12,396,588, 11,737,597, and 10,865,039, and requesting the ITC to issue a limited exclusion order and cease and desist order. Denys Orlov doing business as GoodCups of Alpine, California, is named as the respondent. The ITC will determine the conclusion of the investigation within 45 days after the case is instituted. Except in cases where the U.S. Trade Representative vetoes for policy reasons, the relief orders issued by the ITC in Section 337 cases take effect upon issuance and become final 60 days after issuance.
