Pino Technology, Power Calculation Collaboration + New Energy Storage
As AI computing power expands rapidly, energy storage is shifting from a backup power role to an essential component. According to TrendForce, the global AI data center energy storage capacity is expected to increase from 15.7 GWh in 2024 to 216.8 GWh in 2030, with a compound annual growth rate of 46.1%. Bain & Company points out that global AI computing demand is growing at a rate of 4.5 times per year, not only driving large-scale AIDC construction but also making the strong energy storage demand from AIDC the “third growth curve” after renewable energy mandatory storage and overseas large-scale energy storage systems. A 1 GW computing infrastructure consumes about 7,000 GWh annually, with green energy support and energy storage frequency regulation needs rising simultaneously, leading to a surge in energy storage demand. Domestically, data from CNESA Energy Storage Application Branch shows that from January to February 2026, the new energy storage market achieved significant results: the total new installed capacity was 9.51 GW / 24.18 GWh, representing year-on-year growth of 182.07% / 472.06%; long-duration energy storage is accelerating its adoption. Meanwhile, domestic energy storage bidding data also remains high. According to Guohai Securities, in February 2026, new energy storage bidding (including pre-bidding) reached 15.5 GW / 53.9 GWh, a year-on-year increase of 94.1% (power) / 73.3% (capacity). The scale of new procurement projects reached 7.46 GW / 46.6 GWh, up 103.6% (power) / 265% (capacity).
In industry news, on March 10, CATL, a leading company in the sector, stated at the 2026 International Battery Technology and Innovation Application Summit that currently, about 80% of their business is in power and energy storage batteries, with this ratio expected to reach 50%:50% in the next three years. After that, energy storage batteries may even surpass power batteries.
Notably, recent high-level support for energy storage has been announced. The 2026 Government Work Report listed new energy storage among the six emerging pillar industries (the others being integrated circuits, aerospace, biomedicine, low-altitude economy, and intelligent robots). Meanwhile, “computing and energy collaboration” was officially included as a super-large-scale new infrastructure project, explicitly promoting green electricity, new energy storage, hydrogen energy, and green fuels.
Zhuhai Pino Technology Co., Ltd. mainly provides energy IoT products and digital energy solutions for large buildings, data centers, finance, hospitals, transportation hubs, industrial parks, and other power user-side clients.
