Our country's forest and grassland coverage exceeds 56%

People’s Financial News, March 12 — March 12 this year marks the 48th Arbor Day in China. The Office of the National Greening Committee released the 2025 China Land Greening Status Bulletin, showing that by 2025, the country will have completed afforestation of 3.563 million hectares and restored 4.927 million hectares of degraded grasslands. The forest coverage rate will reach 25.09%, the combined forest and grass coverage will exceed 56%, and the forest stock volume will reach 20.988 billion cubic meters. (Xinhua News Agency)
