For millions of Amazon customers, the battle over incomplete or delayed refunds has finally reached a resolution. The e-commerce giant agreed to a $309 million settlement to address widespread complaints about mishandled refunds and return processing failures. Beyond cash compensation, Amazon will implement structural improvements to its return and refund procedures — modifications valued at approximately $363 million. Combined, the cash payout, previously issued refunds, and procedural upgrades total over $1 billion in consumer benefits — a figure that underscores the severity of the refund mishandling.
