MSFT vs. AMZN: Microsoft Launches Copilot Health to Challenge Amazon’s AI Agent
Microsoft MSFT -0.51% ▼ has joined a growing number of tech companies betting that users will turn to artificial intelligence (AI) for their healthcare needs. To capitalize on that, Microsoft’s Copilot AI assistant has been expanded with a new Copilot Health feature. With this, users can upload their medical records and data from health-tracking devices to get insights from the AI.

Submitting personal data to Copilot Health may seem dangerous to some users, but Microsoft said that it encrypts all information given to the AI. The company also said that the personal information isn’t used to train AI models and that it can be deleted at any time. There are also other security features to ensure users’ health information remains safe.
Microsoft’s launch of a health-focused version of Copilot comes just a couple of days after Amazon AMZN -1.19% ▼ launched its own healthcare AI agent. Amazon’s AI agent is available to members of its Prime subscription service and can help them with medical consultations for more than 30 common conditions. Both Microsoft and Amazon have limited the launches of their AI health agents to the U.S., but plan to expand them to other regions soon.
Microsoft & Amazon Stock Movements Today
Microsoft stock was down 0.12% on Thursday, expanding a 16.28% year-to-date decrease. However, the shares were still up 6.89% over the past 12 months.
Amazon stock was down 1.08% this morning and has fallen 8.7% since the start of the year. Even so, the stock was still up 9.68% over the past year.
MSFT vs. Amazon: Which Stock Do Analysts Prefer?
