Grand Gateway Shanghai Regional General Manager Kong Lei Joins CP Group
The commercial real estate industry welcomes new personnel changes.
On March 18, an insider told Lian Shang Wang that Kong Lei, former General Manager of Dalian Yuecheng Holdings Shanghai Region, has officially joined Charoen Pokphand Group, taking the position of Chairman of the Commercial Business Line in China and General Manager of Shanghai Ditai Development Co., Ltd., overseeing the strategic layout, asset operation, and future development of CP Group’s commercial sector in China.
Dalian Yuecheng Holdings confirmed this news to Lian Shang Wang.
Public information shows that Kong Lei entered the commercial real estate field in 2008. At that time, he was a leasing manager at a commercial consulting firm, and his first project was Shenyang Yuecheng. After successfully leasing and opening Shenyang Yuecheng, Kong Lei officially joined COFCO Land in 2011, responsible for the operation of Shanghai Yuecheng. In 2012, he returned to leasing roles, participating in the leasing of Shanghai Yuecheng Phase II. Subsequently, he was responsible for preliminary positioning and leasing support for projects in Yantai and Chengdu at COFCO Land’s headquarters Commercial Management Center. He later served as Vice General Manager of Yuecheng Holdings’ East China Region, General Manager of Commercial Management, and General Manager of Shanghai Region, deeply involved in and leading the positioning upgrades, leasing operations, and brand revitalization of Yuecheng projects in Shanghai, Suzhou, Nanchang, and other cities. He has been a key driver in maintaining Yuecheng’s leadership in East China.
According to the official website of Charoen Pokphand Group, the group’s business includes agriculture and food, retail, commercial real estate, finance, and pharmaceuticals. In terms of real estate, in the early 1990s, CP Commercial Real Estate was among the first to participate in the joint development of land in the core area of Lujiazui CBD in Shanghai, leading to the construction of Shanghai CP Plaza. Over the past 30 years, CP Commercial Real Estate has expanded its presence to cities such as Shanghai, Beijing, Luoyang, Hefei, and Yueqing, and owns three major brands: “CP Plaza,” “CP Center,” and “CP City.”
Shanghai Ditai Development Co., Ltd. serves as CP Group’s core commercial platform in Shanghai, responsible for the operation and management of major assets such as Lujiazui CP Plaza.
