Hunan Steel Adds Another "National Green Factory," Total Reaches 5!

Hengyang Hualing Steel Tube Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Hunan Iron and Steel Group, has been recognized as a national-level green factory, becoming a benchmark for green development in the industry and demonstrating the effectiveness of Hunan Steel's low-carbon transition. The group will continue to advance green development, explore new technologies, enhance green product R&D, and contribute to the construction of a beautiful Hunan.

On the green development “map” of Hunan’s steel industry, another green badge has been added.

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of green factories and industrial parks for 2025. Hunan Iron and Steel Group’s Hengyang Hualing Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Henggang”) was successfully recognized as a national-level green factory. This marks Henggang’s green manufacturing level entering the top tier nationally, setting a green benchmark for the industry.

In addition to the previously recognized Xianggang, VAMA, Yangchun New Steel, and Xianggang Ruitai Technology, Hunan Iron and Steel Group now has five national-level green factories. Moreover, units like Lian Steel and Hualing Cable have also been recognized as green factories in Hunan Province. This expanding “green list” is a vivid testament to Hunan Steel’s deepening efforts in green transformation and development.

Hunan Iron and Steel Group stated that during the 14th Five-Year Plan, it will continue to adhere to the concept of green and low-carbon development. Building on the achievements of ultra-low emissions transformation, it will lead with technological innovation, continuously explore and research new low-carbon and environmentally friendly technologies and processes, increase the research, development, and promotion of green products, and write a new chapter in green development, contributing more steel strength to the construction of a beautiful Hunan.
