Stablecoin issuer Tether has announced that it has signed a cooperation agreement with one of the Big Four accounting firms to conduct its first comprehensive independent financial audit. Tether stated that the audit will cover its digital asset reserves, traditional financial assets, and tokenized liabilities, and will provide greater transparency on whether USDT is fully reserve-backed. Currently, USDT has a market capitalization of approximately $184 billion and a user base exceeding 550 million. Tether said this move aims to enhance transparency and regulatory compliance levels.
