Special Topic: China Development High-Level Forum 2026 Annual Conference

Sina Technology News, March 23 — At the China Development High-Level Forum 2026 Annual Conference, TCL Founder and Chairman Li Dongsheng shared that the emerging pillar industries clearly defined by the country, such as integrated circuits, new display technologies, new energy, and new materials, generally exhibit characteristics of “high technology, heavy assets, and long cycles.” From cutting-edge technology research and development to industry implementation, it relies on the dual drive of technology and capital.

Li Dongsheng proposed two suggestions: “First, companies should increase basic research and pilot verification; second, cultivate long-term capital.”

Regarding the construction of a modern industrial system, Li Dongsheng stated: “‘The 14th Five-Year Plan’ divides manufacturing into traditional, emerging, and future industries. However, these three are not simply progressive or substitutive but are mutually empowering and coexisting in a symbiotic relationship.” Taking the consumer electronics industry as an example, “The deep integration of AI and consumer electronics will reshape future lifestyles and industrial patterns, becoming an important engine for driving economic growth.”

“China’s economic globalization process still has enormous potential. As the main body of the economy, enterprises should actively expand foreign investment and international cooperation.” Li Dongsheng said, “Chinese companies need to achieve global transformation, enter the ‘Globalization 3.0’ stage, root themselves overseas, integrate into local markets, and enhance global resource allocation capabilities, shifting from pursuing GDP growth to focusing on GNP growth.”

“Building a modern industrial system is a systematic project that requires both ‘hard support’ from technological breakthroughs and capital investment, and a ‘soft environment’ of institutional innovation and open collaboration.” Li Dongsheng called for, “We should embrace the world with a more open attitude, allowing the development of Chinese industries to find more opportunities in the global market and make due contributions to global economic development.” (Wen Meng)
