Indian Rupee Hits Historic Low as Bond Yields Rise to One-Year High

Due to the escalation of tensions between the United States and Iran and the deterioration of market risk appetite, the Indian rupee and bond prices declined. The US dollar against the rupee rose 0.2% to a record high of 93.8775. The 10-year Indian government bond yield increased by 6 basis points to 6.8%, the highest level since January 15, 2025.
