The targeted effectiveness of the People's Congress supervisory work has been significantly improved.

The Fourth Session of the 14th National People’s Congress held a press conference today (March 4th) at the Great Hall of the People. Spokesperson Lou Qinjian answered questions from Chinese and foreign journalists regarding the agenda and work of the NPC. Lou Qinjian stated that over the past year, the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress has conscientiously fulfilled its supervisory duties as prescribed by the Constitution and laws, consistently adhering to correct, effective, and lawful supervision. In terms of methods, a comprehensive approach has been used, including listening to and reviewing reports, law enforcement inspections, special inquiries, special research, and filing reviews, forming a joint force for supervision and effectively enhancing the relevance and effectiveness of oversight. Over the past year, 22 supervisory work reports have been reviewed, five law enforcement inspections, two special inquiries, and 11 special research activities have been conducted, resulting in one resolution.
