Target has reached a retail milestone by opening its 2,000th store in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, along with four other new locations. This expansion is part of the company’s plan to open over 30 stores and remodel more than 130 in 2026, backed by a $5 billion capital expenditure. Despite recent sales declines and job cuts, Target aims for net sales growth this year, believing its strong balance sheet will support these expansion efforts.
