I just read that in the OneCoin case, the DOJ has started distributing $40 million in damages. Between 2014 and 2019, this scheme stole over $4 billion, deceiving millions of people. Now, at least some of it is being recovered.

Interestingly, this $40 million compensation process is still open, and applications can be made until June 30, 2026. If you invested in OneCoin, you can prepare your documents and request them from the official portal. No upfront payment is required, which is important because you need to protect yourself from secondary scammers.

One of the founders, Ruja Ignatova, is still at large and on the FBI's most wanted list. The other, Karl Greenwood, has received a 20-year prison sentence. OneCoin, one of the biggest Ponzi schemes in crypto history, didn't even have a blockchain; it was completely fake. Once the $40 million compensation begins, victims might feel some relief, but I don't know how much help dropping from four billion to forty million really provides.
