ME News update. On April 25 (UTC+8), Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that after Iran and the United States may reach a peace agreement, Turkey can consider participating in mine-clearing operations in the Strait of Hormuz. It is expected that, after the U.S. and Iran reach an agreement, a technical team will conduct mine-clearing work in the strait. Turkey, in principle, regards such actions as a humanitarian responsibility and takes a positive stance. If, in the future, this technical multinational alliance becomes a party to a new round of conflict, Turkey will reassess its position. He believes that issues related to Iran’s nuclear program can be resolved in the next round of talks in Pakistan. (Gold Ten) (Source: ODAILY)
