Turkey May Consider Hormuz Mine Clearance After Potential US-Iran Deal

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said Turkey may consider joining mine clearance operations in the Strait of Hormuz after a potential agreement between the United States and Iran. Hakan Fidan said a technical team is expected to conduct the work after such a deal, and he said Turkey would review its position again if a multinational coalition later became part of a new conflict. Hakan Fidan also said Iran nuclear issues could be resolved in the next round of talks in Pakistan.
