Celestia Founder: Support the proposal to drop the TIA inflation rate by 33%

Odaily Planet Daily News Celestia (TIA) community initiated a new proposal to drop the inflation rate of TIA by 33%. Regarding the proposal, Celestia founder Mustafa Al-Bassam stated, “I support this proposal. When we first decided on the inflation rate, we referenced Solana’s inflation plan to keep it relatively simple, as we did not want to follow the Cosmos standard inflation plan (i.e., a permanent 10% inflation rate). The recent consensus in the community is that this number is still too high, and now Solana is also proposing to drop the inflation rate, so it’s time for Celestia to make adjustments as well. I believe that a 33% drop is a correct balance, as it can effectively adjust the inflation curve without excessively endangering the security of the crypto economy.”
