I witnessed the rise of Decentralization AI at 0G
Every time I bring up Decentralization AI, I always think of that late-night discussion. At that time, I was just a novice in Web3, staying up late on DC with a few tech enthusiasts debating: Should AI be completely entrusted to big companies? That night, the arguments were intense and even a bit out of control. But looking back now, I truly believe that it was that sense of "insecurity" that made more and more people think about where AI should go.
To be honest, I have witnessed too many "black box moments" of centralized AI. For example, there was a time when a friend's account was inexplicably banned by the platform, and there was no way to appeal. Nobody knows how the algorithm judged it or how the data was used. That feeling of helplessness is truly hard to bear. Not to mention the data privacy, algorithmic bias, and unfair distribution of profits... these "hidden rules" in the industry are well known to us. AI should be a resource for the entire society, yet the reality makes it increasingly resemble a "private domain" of a few major companies.
My own Claude account has also been inexplicably banned, and I can't retrieve it.
It wasn't until I encountered 0G that I truly realized that "Decentralization AI" is not just a slogan, but a tangible technological revolution. The deep collaboration between 0G and HackQuest has completely reshaped my imagination of the developer community. Speaking of this, I remember the scene of experiencing the 0G testnet for the first time. That day I connected to the wallet and saw over 650M in transaction volume, 22 million accounts, and more than 8,000 validators. It was truly impressive! Especially with each shard TPS reaching 11k, which is quite remarkable in the industry. You can feel that the infrastructure is already in place, and the vitality of the ecosystem is palpable. What surprised me even more was the modular architecture design of 0G—each layer can independently upgrade and expand, from execution, consensus, storage to data availability. As a developer, this flexibility is incredibly appealing! If you want to integrate new features, you can directly use the SDK for seamless connection, making it exceptionally efficient.
Of course, the ideals of technology always face the challenges of reality. For example, distributed systems have high latency and complex coordination; modularization, while theoretically beautiful, can it truly achieve performance and scalability when implemented in reality? Also, regarding the compatibility of ecological standards, if everyone does their own thing, will fragmentation occur? I have thought about these doubts. To be frank, many people in the industry are also observing. But the approach of 0G is to first use testnet data to speak, then continuously improve interoperability standards, gradually expanding and strengthening the ecosystem.
What gives me the strongest sense of "futurism" is the iNFT launched by 0G. Can you imagine? AI Agents turning into NFTs, which can be bought, owned, authorized, and even earn royalties! The ERC-7857 standard supports encrypted and privacy-protected metadata, ensuring that the intelligence of the Agent can be safeguarded. What's even more impressive is that metadata and ownership can be transferred simultaneously, so the buyer receives a truly usable Agent, not just a bunch of shells. Moreover, Agents can even evolve dynamically, continuously increasing in value. This innovation has completely overturned my understanding of AI and NFTs. AI is no longer just a tool; it is an "intelligent entity" that can be owned and empowered!
The industry has changed too quickly over the years. Web3 has evolved from the earliest "idealistic utopia" to the current technological implementation, and everyone is looking for the next growth point. Decentralization AI just happens to be riding this wave. In the past, we often said, "data is the new oil," but here in 0G, both data and intelligence have become resources for "co-creation, co-governance, and sharing." Every developer and every user can participate, driving the industry towards a more equitable and transparent direction.
Of course, there are still many challenges. Performance, privacy, standard fragmentation, compliance risks... none of these issues can be ignored. But it is precisely because of these challenges that we need innovators like 0G who dare to "start over". As a veteran of the industry, I increasingly believe that Decentralization AI is not just a technological upgrade, but a social revolution about fairness, transparency, and user control.
What will the future hold? I don't know. But I do know that as long as there are people willing to speak up for transparency and fairness, willing to use technology to change the rules, this industry will keep moving forward. And I will also be on the road, witnessing and participating in every change that comes.
