Gold Ten Data, August 7th News, according to four unnamed bank sources, the Indian Central Bank has asked some major banks to avoid increasing their existing positions in Short Indian Rupee to support the Rupee Exchange Rate. A foreign bank said that officials from the Indian Central Bank have informed one of the banks to consider the scale of their existing positions as the risk limit. Another senior banker from a foreign bank said that the Indian Central Bank has requested banks not to aggressively buy speculative positions in USD/INR. The Indian Central Bank has not yet commented.
