A developing situation at Dubai International Airport (DXB). Multiple flights bound for the hub are currently in holding patterns following reports of a drone or missile strike in close proximity to the airport.
The Dubai Media Office has stated that the flashes and sounds seen over the city were the result of air defense interceptions.
Officials attribute the reported "strikes" to falling debris from these successful interceptions rather than a direct hit on airport infrastructure.
