Euphoric about AI something, rugged by it, then convince ourselves that the next iteration of the exact same thing is different this time. If anything has established itself this past couple weeks, it’s that the cage is all we know.

Everyone begged for Crypto AI season round 2, but they forgot the veil already came off when it ended last time

I log on and see Pow getting attacked for taking profit at $40mil after holding something for weeks/months through multiple drawdowns
But we turn a blind eye to the fomo warriors with 4 minute hold times who eviscerate their copy traders/chasers
The art of holding is mostly lost, but occasionally those who do it are going to sell large bags on you at higher valuations— and they deserve to do so

Every Asymmetric, meta leading trade I have executed has gone through its own version of the following stages:
- Premature Euphoria --> "Healthy retracement" quickly morphs into scary oversold --> Peak FUD moment occurs --> Immaculate recovery
1) If you Hold and are right on recovery, you deserve to Win Big
2) If you Sell and recovery happens, you deserved to Fumble it
3) If there is no recovery, then the meta as a whole loses steam or you chose the wrong player. You Lose
Generational trades require conviction, and tough choices that are not obvious or popular in the moment- and you have to be

Seeing an increasing number of new pairs survive their first couple days so far in January. Maintaining mindshare, and holding floors.
Just haven’t had any escape the trenches and appreciate into mid cap territory
That’s the next step we want to see for a true, healthy on chain season
