Hyperliquid didn’t raise any money from VCs and risked their own money - but the hard truth is: Many teams could have done this.
The first guard of DeFi founders has been sitting on Billions of dollars for years and many were in even better potion than HL when they launched. But none of the others did because none of them had any hunger left. That’s actually a big problem in crypto - many people got crazy rich and are now too scared to bet again.

Also interesting that Hyperliquid finally brought back the crazy idea that businesses in crypto actually should have users and make money to justify their billion dollar valuations

If you think HIP-3 is here to stay it might make sense to bet on the projects that enable it.

Most things that people feared in the past got already thrown out the window.
Fair critics:
- Sill rather centralized (30 validators)
- Team unlocks need more clarity. They have unlocked only ~140k HYPE last month but still is a month to month thing.
What else?

Jeff could have just not done the airdrop and become the richest person in crypto.
Instead he and the team created the richest community in crypto.
Rich not just in terms of dollars but in believe, talent and support for each other.
