The South Korean presidential candidate announced a support plan for the Blockchain industry.

Gate.io News bot, according to Yonhap News Agency, South Korea’s National Power Party presidential candidate Hong Joon-pyo announced the blockchain industry development plan at a policy conference held in Seoul. He said that he would follow the model of the Trump administration in the United States and support blockchain and crypto assets as independent industries by relaxing regulatory measures. At the same time, he plans to promote the application of blockchain technology in the public sector and administrative services.

This conservative candidate also announced a five-year investment plan, promising to invest 500 trillion won (approximately 36 billion USD) in research and development in areas such as AI, quantum technology, and room-temperature superconductors.
