ShibariumBridge: The dev presents a detailed roadmap towards stronger decentralization.
The latest security update on the Shibarium bridge, announced by Shiba Inu developer Kaal Dhairya, has acknowledged shortcomings in the initial setup of validators and key management. Specifically, the development team takes responsibility for key management and security. This update confirms that the validator keys are mainly stored on the AWS Key Management Service (KMS), and this is currently being adjusted to enhance decentralization.
Importantly, the team has acknowledged that decentralization was "de-prioritized" in the past and is now working on improvements. Internal validators were used in the early stages, a decision now recognized as incorrect and is being rectified. The goal is to enhance the decentralization of validators, improve the key rotation policy, and implement monitoring solutions.
