The founder of Litecoin (LTC), Charlie Lee, has candidly reflected on his controversial decision to sell all of his holdings of Litecoin at the peak in 2017 at a price of around 350 USD. This decision had previously caused a strong backlash from the community, with many blaming him for contributing to the market plummet at that time.
Charlie Lee admitted that this action has affected his reputation as well as his state of mind for many years. Currently, he only hopes that the price of Litecoin can grow stronger to somewhat alleviate the criticism and negative attitude that the community has towards him.
Although he still frequently faces hostile comments whenever he posts, Charlie Lee maintains the view that opposition is an inevitable part of making a significant impact: "You will not accomplish anything important if you are not hated online." He told CoinDesk.
