Of this, $1.27 billion is attributed to hacker attacks, while the rest is related to rug pulls. The report assessed 228 rug pull cases involving a total amount of $368 million, with the largest case being the DeFiAI Rug Pull in November 2022, involving $40 million. In comparison, the Ethereum network has accumulated losses of $3.6 billion, but the report states that only 4.4% of these losses are caused by rug pulls.
