The CEO of Korea's CeFi platform Haru Invest was attacked and stabbed several times during his trial

BlockBeats news, on August 29th, according to Decrypt, Hugo Hyungsoo Lee, the CEO of the South Korean CeFi platform Haru Invest, was attacked while attending a trial involving an alleged fraud amounting to over 800 million US dollars. He was stabbed multiple times in the neck by a man in his 50s and was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. It's reported that the injuries sustained by Hugo Hyungsoo Lee did not pose a life-threatening risk, and the attacker is said to be a former client of Haru Invest. Earlier, BlockBeats reported that Haru Invest revealed in court that its cryptocurrency custodian B&S suffered losses of up to 400 billion Korean won in November 2022 due to the FTX crash event. In June of last year, Haru Invest executives were accused of defrauding investors of over 1.4 trillion Korean won (approximately 1 billion US dollars) in cryptocurrency.
