Odaily Planet Daily News Green United LLC failed to dismiss a lawsuit filed by the US SEC, which accused its executives of operating a fraudulent Cryptocurrency Mining scheme and making $18 million from investors. Defendants Wright Thurston and Kristoffer Krohn operated Green United LLC, they were accused by the SEC of selling ‘Green Boxes’ and ‘Green nodes’ (Green Blockon-chain GREEN Token’s Miner) in March. In the ruling on September 23, Judge Ann Marie McIff Allen stated that the defendant failed to rebut the SEC’s securities charges and that the SEC’s investment contract allegations adequately alleged all necessary elements of securities. The judge refused to dismiss the fraud charges against Thurston, stating that his actions created a illusion for investors to earn GREEN Tokens through Mining. (Cointelegraph)
